Needles Railroad Borax Wagon

The city of Needles was founded in 1883 with the coming of the railroad. This wagon that welcomes visitors is a replica of ones used in the 1880s to transport borax from the mines to the railway here. This wagon is #277 was made by the Studebaker Wagon Company and was pulled by 18 mules and two horses, but is better known as a Twenty Mule Team.
